Glass workshops by Glass Garden Art

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in stained glass and copper foiling workshops conducted by Ellie Drake-Lee of Glass Garden Art. (“Workshop Provider”). By enrolling in and attending glass workshops, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully

1. Registration and Payment

1.1 Workshop Registration: To secure a spot in the workshop, participants must complete the registration process and provide accurate information.

1.2 Payment: Payment for the workshop is required in full at the time of registration.

2. Workshop Details

2.1 Workshop Content: The glass workshops conducted by Workshop Provider will cover various techniques, including the use of glass grinders and soldering irons, to create stained glass artworks. The specific details of each workshop, including the date, time, location, and workshop materials, will be provided upon registration.

2.2 Workshop Duration: The duration of each workshop will be as specified in the workshop description provided at the time of registration.

2.3 Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years old to enrol in the workshop. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also enrolled in the workshop and have agreed this with Glass Garden Art at booking.

3. Safety and Equipment

3.1 Safety: Stained glass workshops involve the use of tools and equipment, including glass grinders and soldering irons, which can be hazardous if not used properly. Participants must follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by the Workshop Provider to ensure a safe workshop environment.

3.2 Equipment and Materials: Workshop Provider will provide the necessary equipment and materials for the workshop. Participants are responsible for using these materials responsibly and returning them in the condition they were provided.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

4.1 Workshop Cancellation: Workshop Provider reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances or if the minimum number of participants required for the workshop is not met. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund of their workshop fee or alternatively find a date to reschedule it.

4.2 Participant Cancellation: Participants may cancel their enrolment in a workshop up to 14 days before the scheduled workshop date and receive a full refund. Cancellations made after the deadline will not be eligible for a refund.

5. Liability

5.1 Release of Liability: By participating in the workshop, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with using glass, glass grinders and soldering irons. Participants release the Workshop Provider and its employees from any liability for personal injury, property damage, or any other claims arising from participation in the workshop.

6. Copyright and Ownership

6.1 Artwork Ownership: Participants retain ownership of the glass artworks they create during the workshop. However, Workshop Provider reserves the right to photograph and showcase participants’ work for promotional purposes with proper attribution.

7. Code of Conduct

7.1 Respectful Behaviour: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and considerate manner towards fellow participants and Workshop Provider staff.

7.2 Workshop Policies: Participants must adhere to all workshop policies and guidelines provided by Workshop Provider, including those related to safety and equipment usage.

8. Miscellaneous

8.1 Amendments: Workshop Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes in advance.

8.2 Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK.

Consent for Photography and Internet Usage

At Glass Garden Art Stained Glass and Copper Foiling Glass Workshops, we like to take photos of everyone busy creating and to then share the experiences of our participants on our website, social media, and promotional materials. We believe these photos provide a wonderful way to showcase the creative work that happens during our workshops.

Consent: We value your privacy and respect your right to control how your image is used. Before enrolling in one of our workshops, we kindly request your consent to be photographed and to have your images and likeness used for the following purposes:

  1. Website: Your photos may be featured on our website to showcase the artistic creations produced during our workshops.
  2. Social Media: We may share images of our workshops and participants on our official social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
  3. Promotional Materials: Your photos may be included in our promotional materials, such as flyers, brochures, and advertisements, to promote future workshops.

How Your Consent Works:

  • Opt-In: By enrolling in our workshop, you can opt-in to give us permission to take and use your photographs for the purposes mentioned above. This opt-in is entirely voluntary, and you have the choice to decline.
  • Opt-Out: If, at any point during the workshop, you decide you no longer wish to participate in our photography and internet usage consent, please inform our staff, and we will respect your decision.

Your Control:

Your participation in our glass workshops is not contingent on granting consent for photography and internet usage. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy or how your images will be used, please feel free to discuss them with me before or during the workshop.
